CES 2006 : 47 video clips & 1400 photos

Missed part of our full coverage of the CES ? New to our site ? On vacation ? In hibernation ? Whatever...

Below we have regrouped all of our video clips of the CES 2006 in alphabetical order for easy reference. We must admit they did not all get on line at the same time, for which we apologize, which is why we thought this summary might be helpful.

However, the basic problem was all your fault ! The traffic was so far above (our most optimistic!) expectations, particularly the high definition full page viewing, our bandwidth went sky high, we have had to change our servers twice since the holidays. Last month you, our dear readers, watched over 65,000 of our clips ! Thanks for your interest and we hope now that they are running smoothly.

Here are a few tips how to maximize your viewing pleasure of our video clips. The clips are encoded in 10 different formats to provide you with premier DVD quality image videos and CD quality audio on PC or MAC and be compatible with both Windows Media and Flash.

The clips encoded for Windows Media are now limited to the Version 8 and 9. Depending on your bandwidth and configuration they may take a few seconds to start, which you can monitor in the bottom of the frame. The major advantage of this format is that once the preload is completed you will be able to watch them full screen in DVD quality by using the "Full Screen" link just under the clip frame. We have even tested watching them on a "normal" TV screen ! If you want to watch a clip a second time, it will start immediately thanks to our technology.

When viewing the clips using Flash they will, in general, start almost instantly. This format often gives better results when you have Fire Fox or a MAC.

Depending on your configuration you may even find that the 512 version gives equivalent quality results as the high definition one, so we suggest you test to see what is best for you on your machine.
