Yamaha RX-V2700 : the A/V receiver ready for HD
The new RX-V2700 A/V receiver opens the way to a truckload of state-of-the-art products by Yamaha due in the next few months. The RX-V2700 looks like any old A/V receiver but when you take a quick peep at the features, it’s purely obvious Yamaha has now turned toward HD and multimedia.
Let’s check out some of the features :
- Streams MP3 audio from networked PCs or the Internet
- Streams radio on the Internet
- Enables you to share music
All this is made possible thanks to its built-in Ethernet jack that allows the receiver to communicate with its computer or the Internet. As for all the usual specs they include the capacity to convert any analog video source to 480p, 720p, or 1080p but we’ll focus on the HD and HDMI improvements on the RX-V2600.
The RX-V2700 is equipped with :
- HDMI 1.2a ports, LipSync function that matches sound to picture perfectly
- Anchro Bay scaler
- Intel-Oplus high-performance de-interlacer for best quality progressive video images
Soundwise, we’ve got :
- 7 x 140 Watts
- 3 amplification zones
- Auto setup options (which utilize the included microphone, shown to the left of each receiver)
- Pure Direct stereo mode that disconnects video circuits and processor
- The ability to stream sound from a computer via USB port
The RX-V2700 N will be out in November, priced at 1700 €. It’ll be available in a black or titane finish.
