Xoro HSD 8410 : an HDMI DVD Player with upscaler
The HSD 8410 is the new HDMI DVD Player being rolled out by the German company Xoro. On show at IFA 2006 beginning of September, it’ll be out during the course of next month with a very, very competitive price tag!
With all the fuss over HD players, our “older formats” are not really catered to these days by the electronics giants, but Xoro has succeeded in bringing together HD and DVD. They integrated a scaler into the HSD 8410 so it can output in 720p and 1080i.
On the practical side, it can also read your Memory Stick Pro and sports a USB port for playback of audio, video and images from USB memory sticks and USB Hard disc drives. It’s also MPEG-4 compatible.
Available mid-October in silver and black, at the SRP price of 79€.
