Epson gives word of the upcoming launch of two new projectors in Japan.

The EMP-TW1000 is packed with the Epson-favorite Tri-LCD technology and boasts a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, 1080p compatible thanks to the latest HDMI 1.3 port. Epson announces an impressive 1,200 : 1 contrast ratio with up to 1,200 lumens of brightness. The zoom ratio is at 2.1x and we’re waiting for more info about it.

The EMP-TW1000 will be going at 2,400€ in Japan.

The EMP-TW700 also features *Tri-LCD but in 720p. The HDMI port is the 1.2a version and the contrast ratio 10,000 : 1 with a 1,600 lumens brightness. This level of brightness is ideal for computer-based projections in lit surroundings.

The expected price is 1,600€ in Japan.
