Marantz SR8001 : new 7.1 AV receiver
The new Home Theatre AV receiver by Marantz is out now.
The SR8001 offers a good number of interesting features, both handy and hi-tech. It decodes the latest formats such as DTS ES , Dolby Digital EX , THX Ultra II including the less famous Circle Surround II. This 7 x 125W amplifier packs 900 Watts into 15 kilos! Not bad! Speakers are equipped with a calibration function known as MRAC and a Pure Direct mode for parasite free Hi-fi listening.
The SR8001 will also convince you with its video features. It’ll convert and upscale any signal into HDMI. It sports 4 HDMI inputs and two outputs (version 1.2).
The Marantz SR8001 is available now at 1799€.
