No more than three weeks ago we reported Sharp’s intention to double its LCD panel production.

Well today, due to the rising demand of big screens, Sharp announced its new predicted output of 30,000 panels a month. That implies the creation of a third production line by the month of June. So each month, the number of LCD panels rolled out of Sharp production facilities should no less than double to reach 60,000 panels a month.

The new Kameyama #2 plant will produce the juicy number of 90,000 units per month by 2008!
