British based Hi-Fi manufacture Arcam have decided to stop production of their well established DIVA range and replace them with the upmarket FMJ models with better sound and build you even get the FMJ Five-Year Guarantee!

The FMJ A18 Amplifier will retail for £450 and replace the DIVA A70 and the FMJ CD17 CD Player will retail for £500 and replace the DIVA CD73. Both models features Arcam’s Unique High-end FMJ Technologies. Arcam’s unique ‘Mask of Silence’ & ‘Stealth Mat’ EMC damping, Electromagnetic Interference is damped using Arcam’s proprietary ‘Mask of Silence’ & ‘Stealth Mat’ technologies to ensure that even the smallest details in the recording are reproduced faithfully. SDS damped-steel low-resonance chassis The SDS chassis keeps damaging mechanical vibrations to a minimum.

FMJ = Full Metal Jacket, this was the internal company code name for the design project that led to the first battleship build quality FMJ Hi-fi products.
