CEDIA announces training event for Switzerland
Following on from the recent success of its Swiss launch event, CEDIA Region 1 (the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) has announced details of a diverse, high quality training day for custom installation companies taking place on 14th May 2007 at the Novotel Zurich Airport Messe.
The training is an important part of CEDIA’s Region 1 development programme and will be spearheaded by CEDIA’s International Board member, Raphael Oberholzer who works for Swiss-based ESP (Electronic Systems Professional) member, Smart Home SA, and Bernhard Hüessy from CEDIA Trade Supplier member, Genesis-Technologies. All training courses on the day will be presented in German. Raphael and Bernhard have been key in developing awareness of the Association in Switzerland and will be presenting an introductory course on project management at the event.
‘IP for Residential Integrators’ will also feature as a hot topic. This session will be presented by a senior network engineer from Boas Hochstrasser/ GenesisTechnologies Ltd. Other courses on offer include ’Electrical and Electronic Theory and Application’, ‘Component Installation’ and ‘Multiroom Audio/Video Distribution Systems’.
“Switzerland is a rapidly growing market for home automation and electronic systems integration. High quality training is the key to developing this residential sector successfully in the future” says Wendy Griffiths, Executive Director at CEDIA Region 1. “Our launch event in February attracted over 50 delegates. This dedicated training day will build on this success and provide a platform for further education and market growth in the future”.
Training begins at 09.30 with prices ranging for 40-80 Euros for CEDIA members and 60-120 Euros for non-members. All bookings should be made through the education section of the CEDIA website (www.cedia.co.uk).
