ISCO precision optics appoints T+W marketing for growing european home cinema market
Goettingen, (December 5, 2007) – ISCO Precision Optics GmbH (ISCO), a leading manufacturer of high-performance optical solutions, announced it has appointed T+W Marketing as the company’s new and exclusive distributor for the Home Cinema market in Continental Europe. T+W Marketing will also cover UK and Scandinavia albeit on a non-exclusive basis. Joining the increasing network of dealers adopting cinemascope format for home cinema, T+W Marketing will cultivate an exclusive group of custom home integrators to bring ISCO’s precision optics to the expanding EU home cinema market. The added-value services T+W Marketing offers which complement ISCO’s home cinema goals include; ISF training, Anamorphic lens set-up training, product demonstration and sales support, installation certification and technical service.
As representatives of ISCO anamorphic optics, along with other premium brand technology manufacturers, T+W Marketing boasts over 70 years of projector-centric experience from within the digital cinema and home cinema industries. All members of T+W Marketing are ISF certified and have previous experience with products and technologies from top suppliers including BARCO, Bang & Olufsen, Harman Group and the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF). Furthermore, Vanthuyne and T+W Marketing colleague Bruno Verhenne possess a license to conduct ISF training courses and remain the only accredited instructors in Europe.
Dr. Rolf Heblich, ISCO’s Product and Sales Manager Digital Projection, commented: “From now on all projectors can be equipped with an anamorphic lens. T+W Marketing will be offering an ISCO anamorphic package to its dealers/installers which includes an anamorphic lens and motorized sled with an optional scaler/processor. The partnership with T+W Marketing will help the introduction and professional installation of ISCO’s precision optics into the rapidly growing European custom install market. ISCO and the team at T+W Marketing share the same perspective on products, pricing and distribution channel strategy, as well as a heavy emphasis on product training, education and support. We are confident that ISCO’s partnership with T+W Marketing will expand the global presence of our brand and solutions.”
Wim De Vos, T+W Marketing co-founder, added: ‘Nothing beats the luxury of an absolute real cinema feeling on a wide Cinemascope (2.35:1) screen without the disturbing black bars across the top and bottom of the picture area. Cinemascope without an anamorphic lens would mean reducing the resolution, brightness and contrast of the image on the screen and is simply unacceptable for customers wanting the best performance out of their projection systems. Our finest custom installers have been voicing a demand for no-compromise home cinema technology but were lacking the projection solutions to do so. Now, we can confidently announce that Pro cinema is coming home. T+W Marketing will be supporting each of its dealers through the company’s extensive training program and will offer a specific and comprehensive set-up and calibration training session for dealers with an ISCO III or ISCO IIIs on demo.”
