Epson new Powerlite Cinema 810 and Pro Cinema 1080 (CEDIA EXPO 2006)
The PowerLite Cinema 810 takes advantage of Epson's 3LCD technology, offering 1,600 ANSI lumens brightness and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, with an aggressive MSRP price tag of $2,999. The PowerLite Cinema 810 HQV has a Silicon Optix HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) processor. Lowell Wolf, Product Manager Home Entertainment Group, then shows us the new high-end model that will be coming for the holidays, the PowerLite Pro Cinema 1080 which boasts 3LCD technology for their first 1080p projector, the next step forwards from the 720p 800 Series. He promises this model will have very aggressive pricing. You can also get a brief explanation of the 3LCD technology as well as see a close-up comparison of the 720p and 1080p chips.
