KEF, more innovations and awards (CEDIA EXPO 2006)

The KEF "fivetwo" concept is simple, as Jason Caprarola, Sales and Product Manager explains here. To create a 5.1 surround sound environment, the vertical flat panels behind the main speaker drivers act as rear effects speakers, while the front facing Uni-Q drivers create perfect left, centre, and right speakers. Two models are available, a seven driver stand/wall-mount (Model 7) or an eleven driver floor-stander (Model 11). Both models have the look and finish demanded by the modern consumer (WAF) to integrate easily in the lifestyle of the home. KEF has just won the EISA 2006-2007 award for the best HT Loudspeaker, which uses the same Uni-Q driver technology.
